Letter From a Lady In Love
Maurice Ellahorn/Judy Bennet
Lizabeth Scott was a languorous Lauren Bacall look-alike, who
starred in many Film Noirs, but somehow seems to have got lost along Fame's
fickle high road. A bog -standard Betty Scott role was aspiring/current/ex
night-club singer, complete with slinky dress and a rude smile - my kinda gal.
"Letter From A Lady In Love", from "Dark City" (which has a delightful credit
"introducing" Charlton Heston) beautifully understates the desolation a
good-time girl feels when her no-good man leaves her with neither explanation or
hope of return. True Heartbreak
